Psychiatrist, MD, DHL (Hon.), DPsych, FRCPC, FAPA
He laid the foundation for APPPAH, assuming the presidency for an inspiring eight-year tenure. A true visionary, he breathed life into the Association’s Journal in 1986, steering it to greatness as its editor from the outset to 1990 and resuming the role from 2013 to the present
Ludwig Janus
Psychiatrist
A beacon in psychoanalysis, teaching at Heidelberg’s Psychoanalytic Training Institute. He steered ISPPM and GPPP, co-edits the International Journal of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology. Janus, with Jenö Raffai, pioneered Prenatal Bonding (BA), fostering profound connections between mothers and their unborn.
Grigori Brekhman
Obstetrician
Professor in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at the Medical State Academy, Ivanovo, Russia, Founder & President of the Russian Association for Perinatal Psychology and Medicine (RAPPM) since 2001. He introduced the revelatory Wave Theory of Communication between mother and unborn.
